Three Eco-Friendly Ways to Get Rid of Your Moving Boxes
So, you're done packing, you have transported your belongings and just finished unpacking. Now, several empty boxes are sitting at a corner, taking up a huge space in your room.   What is the next step? Moving boxes may have been very useful but it's difficult to determine what to do with them after the move. Before you start thinking about throwing them out, consider doing these things first.
Sell
If you bought new boxes for the move, they may still be good enough to sell. There are plenty of businesses that are willing to pay for your used cardboard boxes. These businesses usually offer pick up service as well so you won't have to worry about hauling them.  While many offer cash payment upfront, you can opt to donate the money to your favorite charity for every box sold.
Give Them Away
There will always be people looking for used boxes. The best way to find and help these people is through websites which allow free postings for brand new and used items. You can either post your ad through these websites or simply look for posts that say ‘wanted: moving boxes'. Online, you are certain to find someone that is more than glad to haul the boxes you've been trying to get rid of.
Recycle
If your boxes are not reusable, then consider recycling them. Call your neighborhood's recycling center and ask about their policies. Every neighborhood has a recycling center or a waste management office somewhere so be sure to ask around.
