Preparing Your Home for Sale By Owner
Are you ready to post the sign saying "For Sale By Owner" in front of your lot? Before doing that, here's a short checklist of things that you should already have been taken care of before having prospective buyers visit your house.   1.    First of all, you should make sure that the house is reasonably clean and free from clutter. There's a good chance that buyers will be turned off if they see a dusty, messy place with bits and pieces of whatnot scattered on the floor. These will make the place seem run down, and imply that it has a low value. Certainly, clutter should not keep anyone from exploring all the rooms in the house! Even though discerning buyers will be able to look past these superficial things, leaving your house messy is still an unnecessary risk to you. 2.    You may want to re-paint your house with brighter colours. Also, make sure that the lighting is bright. These two factors combined will make the place seem more inviting, more full of potential and more spacious.
